Stepped corner spandrels loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion. High sheen pile with strong luster. Machine bound sides and ends. This carpet has dark wefting which has surfaced to the pile of the carpet where continuation of material has sprouted, which is common for the type, age, and method of weaving. One side is slightly contoured with a bow, within normal margins for hand knotted rugs. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side.
