:: Allover covered repeating forest scene with floral bouquets of long stemmed vines with serrated leaves and minor buds with birds perched therein. This design was later popularized and found in rugs from Hamadan and Qom between the 1940s through 1970s and is likely an example of a precursor that was later copied. All colors in vivid gem-like tones and saturation. Colors and shades include: Cinnabar red, ruby red, sapphire blue, sky blue, jade green, chocolate brown, coffee brown, sand, navy blue, charcoal, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. A period correct painted rug. Some signs of slight rippling which will ease through use and wear with a pad. Minor reduction to the perimeter. Rug shows signs of old adhesive on the reverse side localized to the corners. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Farahan Sarouk rug made in Persia circa 1920's vintage.
