Knot count is approximately 17 by 18 plus or minus 300 kpsi, rather fine in weave and shows signs of early workshop regularity with minor oblique weaving, lacking the uniformity of fourth quarter 19th century workshop examples. Colors and shades include: Deep burgundy, sapphire blue, aubergine, mauve, ivory, jade green, powder blue, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Original side cord selvages intact. Fully secured sides, mostly secure ends. Some localized recess to the pile, mainly the ivory shades covering approximately 10-15%. Well above average condition for the type and age. Rug is supple, pliable, and malleable enough to be folded up very compact, like a blanket. The rug does not exhibit any powdering which attests to the health of the existing pile.
