:: Unusual multi-roundel column of medallions bearing palm trees and mythological figures reminiscent of lions and Manticore. Wrapped by a main border of cartouches / panels filled with palm trees, rabbits, and dogs, bearing a signature cartouche at the top center that reads "Made to order by" and the workshop from which it came, possibly Castelli brothers. Colors and shades include: Cochineal red, antique ivory, navy blue, sand, beige, pale celadon green, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Extensive expert restoration to both ends, with repiled knotting and expert reweaving to the interior. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
